BTW, those Fort Dix turrrists are probably innocent

How do I know?

Because the government now says that to make out its case, it's going to have to rely on super secret confidential evidence, which would permit them to withhold discovery from defense counsel, and potentially even the court, introducing instead just "summaries" of evidence, rather than the evidence itself.

Color me skeptical.

Look, the best charges the United States Government could come up with against these 6 chucklefucks is that they planned an all-out, six-manned "armed assault" on a military base, disguised as pizza delivery guys.

Might they ever have discussed such a plot? Maybe. In the same way Lord of the Rings fan-geeks dream about storming Mordor.

But if these guys lacked the creativity, operational skill and capability to dream up anything better than this plot, should it really be that hard to convict them without having to "raise national security concerns"?

This is serious shit. The Bush Administration already claims it can yank a U.S. citizen off the street or out of his or her house, ship them off to a secret prison in God-knows-where, and never bring them to trial.

Now, in cases where they actually subject themselves (and isn't it quaint that they chose to do that) to the Constitution, their entire prosecution amounts to "these guys are turrists, trust us."?!?
