Tell Me Again Which Party Is "Tough On Crime"

Dick Cheney admits that he doesn't really care that Osama Bin Laden, who is responsible for the murder of over 3,000 Americans on 9/11, hasn't been brought to justice.

He said that "it's more important to keep the country safe".

So by the GOP moral calculus, it's absolutely necessary to murder over 100,000 people who did nothing to harm us whatsoever, but it's entirely irrelevant to capture the person who actually did kill thousands of us.
